This afternoon at lunch I was reading how Jesus was led into the wilderness where he was tempted by the devil (which I know sounds like a totally weird thing to read about on your lunch break).

One of the reasons why I think Jesus went through that is because he knew you and I would go through wilderness seasons in our own lives where we would be tempted, misunderstood, hurt, lonely, and struggle just to make it through the day. He entered into that wilderness so he could enter into and help us with our wilderness seasons.

What wilderness are you going through right now? Are you tired of everything that’s going on with COVID? Are you overwhelmed by what’s going on at work? Are you worried that you don’t have what it takes to be the spouse/parent that your family needs?

Whatever wilderness you’re in today, you’re not alone. Jesus is standing next to you right now. He knows what it’s like to struggle in the deserts of life and wants to help you get to the other side of it. No wilderness is too big for you to get through with his help.

Today, run Christ and let him quench your thirst. Trust him to carry you through this wilderness season.
