Hi, my name is Jeff Mc Clung. Thank you for checking out my blog!

Most people struggle to balance the needs of their work, family, ministry, and personal life. I want to help thrive in your life and ministry so you will  have less stress and more success. To that end I write on faith, family, leadership, ministry, and simplicity. Occasionally, I write about stuff that doesn’t fit neatly into one of these categories.

My goal is to create content that will help you develop personally and succeed professionally. I want to pass on what I’m doing that’s working for me and might for you too. I’ll also share some of my bone-headed mistakes so you can (hopefully) avoid them. And from time to time I’ll post something I hope will help you laugh and enjoy life.

My Biography

I attended Biola University in La Mirada, California where I graduated in 2003 with a BA in Christian Education. Since graduating I’ve worked in both small (400) and large church (10,000+) environments as well as single and multi-site churches.

In 2003 I married my beautiful wife, Sarah. We have two children, Angela and Hayden. We currently live in Folsom, California.

I’ve been in full-time ministry since 2003. I have been instrumental in ministering to the next generation as well as leading, teaching, and ministering to adults in a variety of settings. I have also helped each church I’ve worked at to develop our ministry strategy, social media and web platforms, and provided counseling to people of all ages.

In my free time I enjoy writing, reading, hanging out with my family, and playing board games with our friends.
