Praise tests your character in ways suffering never will.

Criticism can wound the heart, but compliments can go to our head. The Dead Sea is dead because it only takes in—it never gives out. Encouragement is meant to flow through us, not just to us.

Don’t just receive encouragement.
Give it away.
