Sometimes we slip into thinking that if we obey God, He somehow owes us for our obedience. But God doesn’t owe us anything—we owe Him everything.

Obedience isn’t a way to impress Him or earn His blessings. It’s our grateful response to the grace He’s already given…and the pathway that leads us into the life that’s truly life.

So don’t treat obedience—or serving backstage-as a stepping stone to the spotlight.

Let it be an expression of gratitude to the One who has already given you more than you could ever give back to Him.
