Much of the suffering in life doesn’t come with tidy explanations—and even the “right” answers don’t always take away the pain. That doesn’t mean we stop asking honest questions. It just means we can’t put life on hold waiting for an answer that may never come.

When someone is hurting and you don’t know what to say, your quiet presence often speaks louder than any solution you could offer.

Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is simply sit with someone in the questions.
