Have you ever felt like God has turned his back on you?
Every week, I talk to people who feel their life is too messy, their sin is too deep, or they’re too damaged or broken for God to want anything to do with them.
But that’s not what Jesus says.
Jesus said that he came to seek and save those who are lost. He came to heal those who are spiritually sick. He came so that none would perish but that everyone who comes to him would find life and have it to the full.
Maybe you’re in a place where you think you’ve made too many wrong turns to turn back. Or maybe you think that the bad things that are happening to you are God’s way of punishing you. Or maybe you think that the wounds and scars that others have inflicted on you have somehow disqualified you from God’s love and healing.
If anyone of that even remotely describes you, know this:
Jesus won’t turn his back on people who turn back to him.
