- Can’t believe it’s been nine years since 9/11.
- Used the phrase “preaching to the choir” with a boy last Sunday and he thought I said “be quiet.” Some phrases don’t translate well into kid.
- I made a couple of changes to the blog this week and it ended up sending ten tweets in about ten minutes. Sorry about that. It makes me wonder if the machines are on the move. Where is John Connor when you really need him?
- I’ve noticed that a lot of people aren’t taking advantage of rss feeds or email subscriptions and are manually checking blogs. Let the blogs you like come to you! Chime in on the survey here and let me know how you get your blog fix.
- Saw a high-schooler wearing his pants at his knees instead of his waist this week. How much longer is that going to be “cool”?
- I don’t know why but I’ve had this craving for eggs, biscuits, and gravy all week long.
- I’m noticing that on my one day off a week I can’t seem to sleep past 7am. What happened to the days when sleeping in came as easily as forgetting to do the dishes?
- Great post by Michael Hyatt here on how to retain what you read. If you’re a nerd like me your constantly on the look out to improve your note taking and reading skills. Great read!
- I REALLY want to try the KFC Double Down sandwich but Sarah says I can’t until I get life insurance. Seems a bit of an overreaction to me.
- Speaking of things that aren’t good for me, I’ve fallen off the exercise bandwagon for the last two months. I’m hopping back on starting tomorrow. My goal is to exercise every other day.
- When Martin Luther nails something to the church they call him a hero but when I do it they call it vandalism. What’s up with that?
- Great ministries make their top priorities to (1) communicate their message clearly, (2) live it out consistently, (3) facilitate community, and (4) pass on tools for growth continually.
- Sarah and I just finished the first phase of our adoption process. We’ve got a long way to go and have a lot of waiting to do. It’s been an emotional roller coaster for us as we’ve been trying to start our family but it feels good to move forward. Click here for the latest update.
